Question yesterday from my 7 year old son: Mom, do we have batteries in us?
Also from my 12 year old daughter:
Can we get a puppy?
How about a guinea pig?
A fish?
A lizard?
I think with eight children, pets are a little out of the question at this point!

We have a guinea pig! Wanna borrow him?? He's...fun. Really. And, um, furry. And-- (just give me a minute here while I think up some euphemisms for "smelly" :)
